Manufacturing Technician
JOB SUMMARY: Reynolds Systems Inc. (RSI) is a small high-tech business that focuses on the manufacturing of micro-electronic components in support of the aerospace and defense industries. RSI is looking for a technician to work within our Production department to aid in the manufacturing and testing of these devices. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem solving skills. The technician will report to the Engineering Production Supervisor and will work with engineers, technicians, assembly personnel, quality control and administrative staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.
• Perform assembly of components.
• Operation of various types of manufacturing equipment including: soldering iron, laser welder, projection welder, parallel seam sealer, ceramic wafer dicer, wire bonder, etc.
• Assist in testing and data collection.
• Use inspection and test equipment including digital multi-meters, microscopes, micrometers, etc.
• Be responsible, courteous and efficient at all times.
• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• High School Diploma
• Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written communication.
• This position will use some math. This position will use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook as well as several other machine and operation specific computer programs.
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot.
Preferred:
• Associates degree in a Math or Science Field or a certificate in Engineering Technology
• Related job experience in a technology field

The employee may spend a significant amount of time sitting, handling small components, and using microscopes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
